Choosing Popular Flowers in Season for Your Wedding or Event

Flowers in Season

Often when choosing flowers for a wedding or event, we don’t usually think if the flowers we want are in season or not. In fact these other criteria often come into play first, like:

  • including flowers we like
  • incorporating flowers that match favourite colours or wedding colour palette
  • planning flowers around Pinterest images
  • the wedding budget.

However in the end, the availability or seasonality of that particular flower will determine whether or not we can have it on the day.

To help you with your planning, we have listed most of the popular flowers used in weddings or events for bouquets and arrangements by season and colour.

(Note this list is by no means exhaustive. Also, as flowers are products of nature, weather conditions can shorten or extend their flowering season.)
