wedding flowers sydney

I know how overwhelming it can feel to try sort through all the details for your wedding. So I’ve compiled answers to the list of “Wedding Flowers Frequently Asked Questions” which I hope will help bridal couples with planning their wedding flowers.

As always, I’m here to help and if you have any questions not answered here, please feel free to include them in the Wedding Flower Quote Request Form on my Wedding Flowers page.

Wedding Flowers Frequently Asked Questions

Can I include my favourite flower in my wedding bouquet and arrangements?

It will depend if your flower is going to be in season around the time of your wedding day. As we are dealing with products of nature, weather conditions have a significant impact on availability of flowers.

For example, peonies are only available for a few weeks in mid-Spring (most often November) but the specific availability often changes from year to year, depending on how cold the winter has been and how wet the early weeks of spring are.

To learn more about when popular flowers are available, check out my blog post on the most popular blooms by season here.

How much do wedding flowers usually cost?

There is a lot of variability when it comes to wedding flower prices. Most of my couples spend from $3000 upwards on a full wedding floral service including personal flowers, ceremony and reception flowers.

I suggest 10-15% of your total wedding budget but if you want florals to be a significant component of the experience for the day, I would recommend allocating closer to 20-25% of your total budget to flowers.

You can learn more about flower budgets on my blog post here.

Or have a play on my online wedding flowers budget calculator.

Is there a minimum budget or spend?

Price for full wedding floral services start from $1500 although most of my couples spend from $3000 upwards on wedding flowers. (There’s no minimum spend on the No-Fuss Wedding Floral Service)

How far in advance do I need to book?

I suggest a minimum of 6-8 months but we can easily work within a shorter planning timeframe.

I do recommend paying your 20% deposit as early as possible as I only take a limited number of weddings each week.

After your deposit is paid we can easily sort through changes and revisions to the order details. Nothing needs to be firmly set in stone until 4 weeks prior to your wedding day when the final balance payment is made.

Where are you located?

I’m based in the Sydney’s Hills District, NSW.

But I design, create and deliver wedding flowers for couples getting married all across Sydney, Blue Mountains and Lower Central Coast.

I live interstate / overseas. Is that a problem?

No, not at all. I manage all of our communications online – if you’re overseas I can easily manage everything over email.

Can you help me personalise my wedding by incorporating an item that has special meaning to my partner and I?

Of course. Depending on what that item is, I can either include that special item with the flowers on your big day or design a floral styling concept based on the item. I find this to be one of the most meaningful ways to personalise one’s wedding as well as make the day unique to you and your partner!

I'm too overwhelmed by the choices I see on Pinterest / I can't find anything I like on Pinterest. Can you help?

Sure. We can begin by discussing what your wedding priorities are, the vibe you would like to create, favourite colours, etc. And even if you have one or two inspiration photos on Pinterest (and it doesn’t even have to be flowers), share it with me – it can point us all in the right direction.

How do I get started with the inquiry process?

The first step is to submit an initial enquiry – I will then confirm whether your date is available.

From there, I will send you an online questionnaire as the first phase of our consultation process. Learn more about my process on my Wedding Flowers page.
